CQWW – SSB
2008 : 6,731 points
Contest ran from 25.Oct.2007+0000z through 26.Oct.2007+2400z.
Station: Elecraft K3 running 100W into the 80m full-wave horizontal loop (formerly known as ol’ Droopy) “up” 20-25ft.
I operated sporadically on Saturday, and then for the final hours on Sunday—maybe 4½–5 hours total. I managed to get 58 Qs this year and had a blast playing with the roofing filters on my new K3. I worked a few stations on 80m Saturday night, a lot of South American stations on 15m and 20m on Sunday; I didn’t really have much time on 40m.

Contest ran from 27.Oct.2007+0000z through 28.Oct.2007+2400z.
Station: IC-706MKIIG running 100W into ol’ Droopy, my 80m full-wave horizontal loop “up” 15-20ft. (±5ft.)
I only operated for about an hour on Saturday, and a little over two hours on Sunday—maybe 3½ hours total, garnering me only 25 Qs, but it was a lot of fun. Working 15m was a nice change, as was 20 (time split about half-and-half).
